Causes for Rejection:Samples not separated from cells within 2 hours of collection.

Specimen Processing:Within 2 hours centrifuge and aliquot 0.3 mL, 0.15 mL minimum. Store in refrigerator.

Interpretive

Reference Range:

A single ASO analysis may not be meaningful due to the variability of ASO values within the normal population. Both clinical and laboratory findings should be considered in reaching a diagnosis. A single analysis may be less informative than a repeat analysis showing a change.
