Collection Instructions

Specimen:Urine, random collection
Optimal Volume:Submit entire collection; analysis requires 20 mL, 4 mL minimum
Container:Plastic leakproof container, sterile (3 L plastic jug)


Processing and Shipping

Specimen Processing:
Send original container to the laboratory. This container must be sent to Drug Analysis. (Aliquot 2 mL, 1 mL minimum, to Vista - perform on site or send to UMMC East Bank). Send the remaining specimen in the original container to Drug Analysis; 4 mL minimum. Store in refrigerator up to 24 hours or freeze.  
Shipping Instructions:Ship at refrigerated temperatures to arrive within 24 hours. Alternatively, ship on dry ice.
Stability:USCNC orders CUSCN, UBENZ, UCOC, UOPI, UCANN Stability: Refrigerated - less than 24 hours; freeze if storage longer than 24 hours is required.
