Interpretive

Reference Range:

Class 0

Less than 0.10 kU/L

No significant level detected. Consider non-allergic causes

Class 1

0.35-0.69 kU/L

Low response. Uncertain clinical relevance.

Class 2

0.70-3.4 kU/L

Moderate response. Probably a contributing factor to total allergic load.

Class 3

3.5-17.4 kU/L

High response. Clinically relevant.

Class 4-6

17.5 kU/L or greater

Very high response. Highly clinically relevant.

Use:This assay is used to detect allergen specific-IgE using the ImmunoCAP FEIA method. In vitro allergy testing is the primary testing mode for allergen diagnosis.
