Special Instructions:Patients must be counseled regarding this test before and after results are obtained. Test should be ordered through genetic counselor or medical geneticist. Counseling is available from a genetic counselor at 612-624-8948. A signed informed consent in the patient's medical record is required; the consent should not be sent to the laboratory. Collection Instructions

Specimen:Blood
Optimal Volume:5 mL
Minimum\Peds Volume:3 mL
Container:Purple (EDTA) (Yellow (ACD, Solution A) tube available from laboratory)
Collection Instructions:Test kit from Ambry (including paperwork completely filled out, to include unique specimen number) must be used when sending specimen for testing. A complete patient history, signed consent of the patient and the signature of the ordering physician must be included. This must be completed prior to the blood collection. Test will not be run without this information.


Processing and Shipping

Specimen Processing:Do not centrifuge. Store at room temperature.
