Collection Instructions

Optimal Volume:1 mL
Minimum\Peds Volume:0.6 mL

Patient Preparation:Patient should fast overnight prior to collection.
Causes for Rejection:Non-fasting specimens. Icteric or severely hemolyzed specimens.

Processing and Shipping

Specimen Processing:Centrifuge and aliquot 0.5 mL, 0.2 mL minimum within 2 hours of collection.
Shipping Instructions:Ship at frozen temperature.
Stability:After separation from cells: 24 hours at room temperature; 48 hours refrigerated; 2 months frozen.
