Optimal Volume:10 mL or 1 gram semi-formed stool liquid
Container:Ecofix Parapak (Formalin Stool)
Causes for Rejection:Formed stools.

Interpretive

Reference Range:Negative
Use:Establish the diagnosis of cryptosporidiosis in patients who are considered at risk for infection by Cryptosporidium (e.g. immunocompromised, exposed to infected animals, attend day care center or exhibit gastrointestinal disorder). Also serves to diagnose Cyclospora and Isospora infection.
