·         Immunohistochemical staining without report. Slides reviewed for quality by UMMC pathologist prior to report. Stained slides returned by courier.

·         Immunohistochemical staining and interpretation with written report of positive or negative result. Provided by UMMC surgical pathologists.

 

Provide specimen source, type of fixation, and duration of fixation prior to processing. For limited consult, provide pertinent clinical information.

Collection Instructions

Specimen:Paraffin block preferred; tissue sections mounted on charged slides are also accepted. For limited consult send appropriate H&E slide also.
Contraindications:Interpretation may be hampered by improperly fixed tissue, e.g., >24 or <6 hours.


Processing and Shipping

Specimen Processing:Store at room temperature.
Shipping Instructions:Ship slides in protective slide holder at room temperature.

Interpretive

Reference Range:Interpretive report upon request; limited to stains denoted with *.
