Special Instructions:If an interpretation is not requested, slides will be returned to the sender.


Collection Instructions

Specimen:Blood smears, bone marrow smears or imprints.
Collection Instructions:Provide 3-4 unstained blood smears (prepared from fresh blood or EDTA sample), bone marrow smears or imprints.


Processing and Shipping

Specimen Processing:Store at room temperature.
Shipping Instructions:Ship slides in protective slide holder at room temperature.

Reference Range:Interpretive report by hematopathologist.
