Processing and Shipping

Specimen Processing:Centrifuge and aliquot within 2 hours of collection 1.25 mL, 0.2 mL minimum. Store in refrigerator.
Shipping Instructions:Ship at refrigerated temperature.
Stability:Total and direct bilirubin values are reported. Direct bilirubin refers to the sum of the conjugated and delta fractions. Stability: Refrigerated - 6 days if protected from light; frozen - 3 months.
