Collection Instructions: | Immediately mix specimen 10 times by gentle inversion. |

Specimen Processing: | Store in refrigerator. |
Shipping Instructions: | Ship at refrigerated temperature. If more than 24 hours is required for transport, 2 unstained whole blood smears must accompany whole blood EDTA specimen. |

Use: | Evaluation, diagnosis and/or follow-up of bleeding disorders, drug induced thrombocytopenia, idiopathic thrombocytopenia purpura (acute or chronic), disseminated intravascular coagulation, leukemia, and in the therapeutic management of malignant diseases. Investigation of purpura, petechiae. |
