Collection Instructions

Specimen:Urine, random collection
Optimal Volume:Submit entire collection; analysis requires 1.1 mL.
Container:Plastic leakproof container, sterile


Processing and Shipping

Specimen Processing:Keep in original container. Initial testing requires 5 mL, 1.1 mL minimum; confirmatory testing requires 10 mL minimum. Store in refrigerator up to 24 hours; freeze for longer storage.
Centrifuge highly turbid specimens before testing.
Shipping Instructions:Ship in original container at refrigerated temperature to arrive within 24 hours.
Stability:Roche: Refrigerate and test within 5 days of collection.
Vista: <24 hours refrigerated; freeze if longer storage is required.
