Collection Instructions
| Specimen: | Urine, timed collection (20 to 28 hours). If using test to diagnose orthostatic proteinuria, collect two 12 hour collections: one DAY and one NIGHT and order UTPT/LAB440 twice |
| Optimal Volume: | Submit entire collection; analysis requires 1 mL |
| Container: | 3 L plastic jug |
| Collection Instructions: | Place specimen on ice or in refrigerator during collection. |
| Causes for Rejection: | Specimen collected with acetic acid, thymol, or sodium fluoride preservative. |
