| Collection Instructions: | Specimen must arrive within 20-60 minutes of collection and must be analyzed within 2 hours of collection. Immediately deliver to testing personnel. If collecting off-site, keep the specimen cup warmed to body temperature during transportation to the laboratory. |

Interpretive
| Reference Range: | Vasectomy occlusive success is defined by the 2012 American Urologic Association guideline as Azoospermia or Rare Non-motile sperm. Presence of ≤100,000 non-motile sperm/mL based on microscopic exam of at least 50 hps in a single well-mixed uncentrifuged post-vasectomy semen specimen, assuming no motile sperm are observed. |
