Interpretive

| Use: | Markedly increased in lead poisoning (may not have increased coproporphyrin excretion). Also may be elevated in the congenital hepatic porphyrias during acute attacks of acute intermittent porphyria, variegate porphyria and hereditary coproporphyria. |
