Causes for Rejection:Whole blood. Gel separator tubes, light blue (citrate) or yellow (SPS or ACD solution)


Processing and Shipping

Specimen Processing:Separate serum/plasma from cells within 2 hours of collection. Centrifuge and aliquot 1 mL, 0.5 mL minimum. Store in refrigerator.
Shipping Instructions:Ship at refrigerated temperature.
Stability:After separation of cells: 6 weeks at room temperature or refrigerated; 3 months frozen (avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles).
