Collection Instructions

| Collection Instructions: | Follow appropriate Iohexol protocol. Start timing immediately after Omnipaque injection is completed. Do not draw Iohexol levels from the line that Omnipaque was administered. Collect at least 1.2 mL in a green top tube at 120, 150, 180, 210 and 240 minutes. Record the exact time of collection on the flowsheet and on collection tube. Include copy of the completed Iohexol flowsheet with request form and specimens. |
Processing and Shipping
| Specimen Processing: | UMMC East and West Bank Sites: Do not process. Send all whole blood specimens together to Drug Analysis at refrigerated temperatures. All other sites: Centrifuge and aliquot 2 mL, 0.6 mL minimum. Store frozen. |
| Shipping Instructions: | Ship all whole blood specimens together at refrigerated temperature; ship all plasma aliquots together on dry ice. Transport on dry ice.
Study samples may be assayed on serum and shipped at room temperature. |
