A pink (EDTA) is the container of choice for blood bank collections at FSH, FRH, FNMC, and Maple Grove.
Strict specimen labeling requirements must be followed for ABO/Rh testing and compatibility testing. The patient's full name and identification number on the specimen label MUST EXACTLY MATCH the name and identification on the request form. The specimen label must include the following information.
For patients that do not have an historical ABO/Rh type on file, the sample must be either
