Collection Instructions

Specimen:Cultured fibroblast or skin biopsy
Optimal Volume:Cultured fibroblasts: 2 T-25 flasks filled to neck with culture media, sterile or send skin biopsy: 4 mm punch, collect sterile in Eagle's minimum essential medium with penicillin, streptomycin and nystatin in supplied T-115 container.
Container:T 25 Flasks with culture media
Alternate Containers: T 115 container from Mayo
Causes for Rejection:Frozen specimen, specimen in formalin or fixative preservative.

Shipping Instructions:Ship fibroblasts at room temperature and skin biopsy at refrigerated temperature
