Specimen:Fresh or paraffin embedded tissue; sterile body fluid; swabs
Optimal Volume:Tissue 1 cc (preferred); 1 mL fluid

Alternate Containers: Sterile tube, Plastic leakproof container, sterile, Eswab Copan, Purple (EDTA), Viral Transport Media
Collection Instructions:Tissue or fluid placed in a sterile container. Also acceptable: Formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues (FFPE, PET); non-blood body fluids collected in Vacutainer tubes without preservative; EDTA tubes. E-swabs and UTM (Universal Transport medium) are acceptable for BCTPCR testing and ENBDNA testing, but not NGS testing.
Causes for Rejection:Tissues free-floating in formalin; samples containing citrate, or heparin; Blood/Serum specimens; swab/fluid collected in tube containing agar. SPS not acceptable for NGS testing.

Specimen Processing:Do not process. Store frozen.
Shipping Instructions:Ship all specimens on dry ice.
