Causes for Rejection:Contaminated, severely hemolyzed, heat-inactivated or grossly lipemic specimens. Refrigerated specimens.


Processing and Shipping

Specimen Processing:Centrifuge and separate from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Aliquot 1 mL, 0.3 mL minimum. Freeze immediately at ≤20°C. Separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered.
Shipping Instructions:Ship on dry ice.
Stability:After separation from cells: 30 minutes at room temperature; 60 days frozen.
