Specimen:Liquid or semi-solid stool
Optimal Volume:3 grams
Minimum\Peds Volume:1 gram (pea-size)
Container:Plastic Leakproof Container or Sterile Stool Transport Vial
Causes for Rejection:Specimens that have been preserved in 10% formalin, merthiolate formalin, sodium acetate formalin, polyvinyl alcohol or other fixatives cannot be used. Solid stool.
