Abbrev Code:CD57NK
Order Code:LAB6492Order Name:CD57 + NK Cells
Methodology:Flow cytometry
CPT Codes: 86356 x2
Turnaround Time:Specimens are sent to reference laboratory Mon-Sun; results are reported within 1-3 days.
Special Instructions:Specimens must be assayed within 72 hours of collection.

This test uses a manufacturer labeled Analyte Specific Reagent (ASR) as the reagent providing the specificity of the assay. The test was developed and its performance characteristics determined by ARUP Laboratories. It has not been cleared or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration. This test was performed in a CLIA certified laboratory and is intended for clinical purposes.

Reference Range:

Percent CD57+CD3- (NK Cells)

1-16 percent of lymph

Abs CD57+CD3- (NK Cells)

21-357 cells/uL

Use:This test identifies and quantifies the CD57+/CD3-NK cells. The significant of low CD57+NK values in diagnosing and monitoring chronic Lyme disease is not well established and should be used in conjunction with other diagnostic tests specified in the Centers for Disease Control Lyme Disease case definition.
