| Collection Instructions: | Samples must be maintained at room temperature. Samples must be less than 24 hours old at the time of testing and are received in the Flow Cytometry laboratory Mon-Fri and until noon on Sat. Samples are received in the Core lab when the Flow Cytometry lab is not staffed. Specimens will be tested the next day of lab operation if less than 24 hours old. Samples are not tested on holidays. | Causes for Rejection: | Blood with low WBC and/or percentage of lymphocytes, clotted specimen, specimen received greater than 24 hours after collection, specimen collected in non-EDTA anticoagulant, refrigerated specimens. |
Processing and Shipping
| Specimen Processing: | Do not centrifuge. Store at room temperature. Send to Flow Cytometry lab within 24 hours of collection. |
