Test Includes:
This order should only be used for fixed tissue testing of genes not available as a panel. The following are panels available, EPIC order numbers and genes in each panel:

  • Lung Panel (LAB8060): ALK, BRAF, EGFR, ERBB2, KRAS, MET, NRAS, PIK3CA, RET, FUSION: ALK, ROS1, NTRK1, NTRK3, RET, MET (exon 14 skipping alterations). Fusion testing is done on all NGS lung cancer panel requests. Two reports are issued, one for the NGS sequencing, a separate report for fusion testing.
  • Colorectal Panel (LAB8058): BRAF, KRAS, NRAS, PIK3CA, PTEN
  • Melanoma Pane (LAB8061)l: BRAF, GNA11, GNAQ, KIT, MAP2K1, NRAS, PDGFRA
  • Glioma Panel (LAB8114): BRAF, IDH1, IDH2, TP53, PTEN
  • Extended Solid Tumor Panel (LAB8059): AKT1, ALK, AR, BRAF, BTK, CALR, CCND1, CDK4, CDKN2A, CTNNB1, DDR2, EGFR, E1F1AX, ERBB2, ERBB3, ERBB4, ESR1, EZH2, FBXW7, FGFR1, FGFR2, FGFR3, FGFR4, FLT3, GNA11, GNAQ, GNAS, HRAS, IDH1, IDH2, JAK2, KDR, KIT, KRAS, MAP2K1, MAP2K2, MAPK1, MET, MPL, MTOR, MYC, MYCN, MYD88, NPM1, NRAS, PDGFRA, PIK3CA, PIK3R1, PLCG2, POLE, PTEN, PTPN1, RB1, RET, SMO, SRC, STK11, TP53, VHL, WT1

Turnaround Time:Performed Mon-Fri; results are reported within 10-14 days
Special Instructions:Refer to requisition form for available tests. (See Associated Links) Non-EPIC sites print out requisitions(s) and check gene(s) or panel requested. Order testing in EPIC as panels or use the individual gene order and select requested genes. Fixed samples: Include block number for testing.
**You must look at the actual Epic order to determine which of the actions below are required. May be ordered on fixed tissue. Only ordered once on each sample.
If specimen requested is fixed tissue: SPECIMEN HAS PREVIOUSLY BEEN COLLECTED and Molecular Diagnostics lab will locate the specimen.
