Container:Purple (EDTA), Red (no gel)
Collection Instructions:Testing requires 2 samples: Red (no gel) AND purple (EDTA). Collect 8.4-12 mL, 4.2 mL minimum, each in red (no gel) and purple (EDTA) tubes.


Processing and Shipping

Specimen Processing:Centrifuge and aliquot 2 mL minimum of each EDTA plasma and serum. Clearly indicate sample type on each aliquot tube, Store frozen.

Reference Range:By report.
Use:TMA Panel testing is recommended for patients with TMAs include HUS, aHUS, and TTP. This testing is also appropriate for patients with other complement-mediated renal diseases such as C3 Glomerulonephritis and Membranoproliferative Glomerulonephritis as 6 of the genes on the panel and MLPA testing have been associated with these diseases.
