Causes for Rejection:Turbid specimens. Specimens other than peritoneal.


Processing and Shipping

Specimen Processing:Centrifuge and aliquot 0.5 mL, 0.2 mL minimum into an ARUP standard transport tube and freeze.
Shipping Instructions:Ship on dry ice. Specimen must remain frozen until received by testing laboratory.
Stability:24 hours at room temperature; 1 week refrigerated; 1 month frozen
