Causes for Rejection:Gross hemolysis; stored at room temperature >6 hours


Processing and Shipping

Specimen Processing:
  • Serum: Allow samples to clot for 30 minutes from time of collection. Centrifuge for 15 minutes at 1000-1500 g (rcf) at room temperature.
  • Plasma: Plasma specimens must be processed immediately. Centrifuge for 15 minutes at 1000-1500 g (rcf) at room temperature.

Aliquot into two vials with 500 uL per vial. Freeze immediately at ≤20°C. (-80°C preferred). Contact Cytokine Lab if there is adequate sample for only one vial.
Shipping Instructions:Ship on dry ice.
