Causes for Rejection:Plasma. Any hemolysis is unacceptable.

Processing and Shipping

Specimen Processing:Allow specimen to clot completely at room temperature. Separate from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Aliquot 1 mL; 0.5 mL minimum immediately to avoid release of NSE from blood cells. Any hemolysis is unacceptable. Store frozen.
