Use: | The UCP Drug Test Cup provides only a preliminary analytical test result to assess the possible consumption of specific drugs of abuse. This test is not intended to be used in monitoring the drug levels. A more specific alternate method must be used in order to confirm the test result. Gas chromatography/ Mass spectrometry (GC/MS) is the preferred confirmatory method. Clinical considerations and professional judgement should be applied to any drug of abuse test results, particularly when preliminary positive results are obtained.
Qualitative and quantitative confirmatory test is optional and is ordered separately by physician. Licensed psychotherapist will send specimen to the lab for retest. Note: Unconfirmed results are to be used only for medical (i.e., treatment) purposes. Unconfirmed screening results must not be used for non-medical purposes (e.g., employment testing, legal testing). |
