Collection Instructions

Specimen:Urine, random collection
Optimal Volume:Submit entire collection; analysis requires 0.6 mL
Container:Plastic leakproof container, sterile


Processing and Shipping

Specimen Processing:Specimens should have a pH of 5-8. Aliquot 5 mL, 0.6 mL minimum. Store in refrigerator. Freeze samples not analyzed within 24 hours.
Shipping Instructions:Ship at refrigerated temperature to arrive within 24 hours. Alternatively, ship on dry ice.
Stability:5 days refrigerated; freeze if longer storage is needed.

Interpretive

Reference Range:Negative. A positive amphetamine result indicates immunoreactivity of greater than 500 ng/mL.
