Interpretive

Reference Range:
Drugs/Drug Classes Screen Cutoff
Concentration
THC (Cannabinoids) 20 ng/mL
Cocaine 150 ng/mL
Opiates 300 ng/mL
Oxycodone 100 ng/mL
Phencyclidine 25 ng/mL
Amphetamines 300 ng/mL
MDMA (Ecstasy) 500 ng/mL
Barbiturates 200 ng/mL
Benzodiazepines 200 ng/mL
Methadone 150 ng/mL
Propoxyphene 300 ng/mL
The absence of expected drug(s) and/or drug metabolite(s) may indicate noncomplaince, inappropriate timing of specimen collection relative to drug administration, poor drug absorption, diluted/adulterated urine, or limitations of testing. The concentration at which the screening test can detect a drug or metabolite varies within a drug class. Specimens for which drugs or drug classes are detected by the screen are reflexed to a second, more specific-technology (GS/MS and/or LC-MS/MS). The concentration value must be greater than or equal to the cutoff to be reported as positive. Interpretive questions should be directed to the laboratory.

Oxycodone results are reported with the opiates results. MDMA results are reported with the amphetamines results. The following opoids are not detected in this test: fentanyl;. buprenorphine, meperidine, tramadol, and tapentadol. A comprehensive panel that includes these opoids is available or individual opoid testing can be ordered. Refer to aruplab.com for test information.
