Collection Instructions

Specimen:Urine, random collection
Optimal Volume:Submit entire collection; analysis requires 0.2 mL. Immediately place urine sample in small, tightly sealed container to minimize evaporation.
Container:Plastic leakproof container, sterile

Processing and Shipping

Specimen Processing:Aliquot 5 mL, 0.2 mL minimum. Store in refrigerator. Freeze samples not analyzed within 72 hours.
Shipping Instructions:Ship at refrigerated temperature to arrive within 72 hours. Alternatively, ship on dry ice.
Stability:Roche: 30 days refrigerated if tightly closed.
Vista: 5 days at room temperature; 5 days refrigerated; 6 months frozen.
