Samples will be tested Mon-Fri 08:00-16:00 and on Saturday before noon. Samples are received in the Core lab when the Flow Cytometry lab is not staffed. Collection Instructions: |
Samples must be maintained at room temperature. Samples must be less than 24 hours old at the time of testing and are received in the Flow Cytometry laboratory Mon-Fri and until noon on Saturday. Samples are received in the Core lab when the Flow Cytometry lab is not staffed. Specimens will be tested the next day of lab operation if less than 24 hours old. Samples are not tested on holidays. Contact the IFC laboratory at 612-273-5248 for further information.

Causes for Rejection: | Blood with low WBC and/or percentage of lymphocytes, clotted specimen, and specimens greater than 24 hours old. Refrigerated specimens. |
Processing and Shipping
Specimen Processing: | Do not centrifuge. Store at room temperature. Send to Flow Cytometry lab within 24 hours of collection. |
Shipping Instructions: | Ship at room temperature to arrive within 24 hours of collection., Do not send on weekends or the day before a holiday. |
