Collection Instructions: | Sample should be free of air bubbles. If collecting in green (heparin) tube, do not remove stopper. Deliver to the laboratory immediately; if received within 20 minutes, ice is not required. |
Causes for Rejection: | Gross lipemia; presence of >1% sulfhemoglobin, >60 mg/L methylene blue or citrate. |
